Meet Megan

What was your first ever job? 

My first job was working in The Dunadry Hotel restaurant and bar.

What inspired you to get into the hospitality industry?

I am a big people person and have the gift of the gab. I have been working in the hospitality industry since I was 15 and love that no two days would be the same. 

I’m passionate about details, organisation, and storytelling—and in hospitality, especially events and weddings, you get to combine all of that to help create moments people will cherish forever.

How would you describe yourself to someone who’d never met you?

Upbeat, approachable, always up for a laugh & Newcastle FC #1 fan – howay the lads! 

What is your favourite thing about weddings at the Rabbit?

I love that we genuinely do things a bit different and laid back here. No two weddings are the same. 

Also the fact that we have the venue ready to go with the décor with ivy everywhere – its like a magical alice in wonderland vibe. 

What is your favourite part of wedding planning? 

We create such a genuine connection with our couples and we truly want them to have the day of their dreams! 

So when it’s the wedding day and it all comes together, it’s a great feeling watching our couples enjoying themselves with their loved ones!

I do love the energy of the iconic Loft walk in too!

What do you feel is the Rabbit wedding team’s biggest strength?

I feel that our biggest strength is the connections we create with our couples – wee legends!

I feel that our biggest strength is also the support of our team – when we’re busy everyone in the wedding and events team will help out to get the job done. 

Most used app on your phone?

I would have to say Tik Tok – I am guilty of not realizing the time and all of a sudden its 1am and I am deep diving into unsolved murder cases! 

What is a skill you’d like to learn?

I would love to learn how to play guitar so I can channel my inner Taylor Swift. 

If you could live someone elses life for one day, who would it be and why?

I’d be Molly-Mae for the day—mainly so I could raid her wardrobe, live in her stunning house, and casually jet off somewhere glamorous without a worry! Anyone that knows me knows I love a tan (doesn’t come too naturally for me!) so that would be lovely to grab a lifetime supply of her tan… and maybe sneak in a few selfies in her walk-in wardrobe while I’m at it!
