1. The Spa Opening Hours
The Spa opening hours are Sunday – Friday 8am – 9pm and Saturdays from 8am – 8pm Hotel residents can enjoy early access to The Spa from 12 noon on the day of check in, to check out at 11am. Day Spa guests can access The Spa from 8am. For Evening Day Spa packages, The Spa is accessible from 6pm.
2. Children & Young Persons
The Spa is an adult-only environment and is only open to persons aged 16 and over. Treatments cannot be offered to anyone under the age of 16. All 16/17 year olds must be accompanied by an adult at all times while in the spa, including while having a treatment.
3. Spa Facilities at The Rabbit
The Spa at The Rabbit boasts a Roman bath, 2 hot tubs, steam room, sauna, salt chamber, relaxation room, heated loungers, a heated pebble beach, Palm House serving spa lunch, Beach Bar, 4 treatment rooms and 3 clay ritual rooms.
4. Spa Treatments (Hotel Residents)
Hotel Residents can book a treatment with one of our world-class spa therapists. Indulge in one of our bespoke face or body treatments using leading skin expert brands, IMAGE Skincare & Germaine de Capuccini. If you wish to book a treatment whilst you stay with us, please book online here. As part of your accommodation experience, our Private Duo Clay Ritual is a ‘hands-off’ interactive healing spa experience, designed to energise, hydrate, and detoxify the skin. 5. Day Spa Group Bookings or Private Events in The Spa
If you wish to make a booking for a Day Spa package with more than 4 guests, please contact our reservations team on The Rabbit offer private pool parties for 50 guests, perfect for hen or stag parties, birthdays, or day two wedding celebrations. 6. Arrival to The Spa
Please arrive at least 30 minutes before your treatment to Spa Reception to allow you sufficient time to change, complete your medical questionnaire and enjoy some relaxation time prior to your treatment. Please note that appointments may alter by 15 minutes from the time stated at the time of booking. Please note that the allotted treatment time includes time for consultation and aftercare advice. If you arrive late for your appointment, your treatment will be adapted to the remaining time of your booking.
7. Medical Questions
It is important that you advise us in advance of any health conditions, allergies or injuries which could affect your treatment when making your reservation. We are unable to offer spa treatments to guests who have received General Anaesthetic within the last three months. Upon arrival at The Spa, you will be asked to complete a pre-treatment medical questionnaire.
8. What to Wear
Robes and flip flops are provided in your room. If you require an alternative size, please contact Reception. You are welcome to bring your own appropriate footwear to navigate the spa e.g., sliders & flip flops. Should you have a treatment, disposable underwear is also available. You may collect a towel at Spa Reception for use during you time at The Spa.
Day Spa Guests
Robes, Towels and Flip flops are provided for you in your locker. Please bring swimwear for use in The Spa. If a treatment is included in your Day Spa package, disposable underwear is also available.
In the interest of comfort, personal safety, health, and hygiene and in consideration of all our other Spa guests, the flip flops provided in your Spa locker must be worn in all areas of The Spa at all times.
All valuables should be stored in your guestroom or locker. Please note, we recommend that you do not bring valuables into The Spa, the use of mobile phones is permitted, however The Rabbit Hotel & Retreat do not accept any responsibility for any loss or damage to personal items.
10. Food & Drink in The Spa
Lunch is served in the Palm House at The Spa only. Drinks can be purchased from the Beach Bar and enjoyed in all areas of The Spa, excluding treatment rooms.
11. Smoking, alcohol, and drugs
Smoking and the use of drugs in The Spa is strictly prohibited. It is also advisable to avoid the consumption of alcohol and heavy meals prior to, or immediately after any Spa treatment. For your wellbeing whilst availing of The Spa facilities, the Management reserves the right to stop serving alcohol to any guest who may be visibly under the influence of alcohol. Alcohol that is bought in The Spa may only be consumed in this area.
We welcome expectant mothers to enjoy the relaxing surroundings and facilities of The Spa. There are however some of the experiences that due to the jets and extremes in temperature are not recommended during pregnancy, such as the Roman bath & hot tubs, sauna, and steam room. We can adapt any of our pampering treatments for expectant mothers. Treatments are available from 14 weeks, facials are available from 1 week.
13. Post-Surgery / General Anaesthetic
Please note, if you have had surgery in the past 3 months, you will be unable to avail of a treatment. Therefore we kindly ask that you arrive having completed your medical questionnaire in advance if you are booked to receive a treatment through a Day Spa or accommodation package. We are delighted to offer Recovery Spa treatments. Many of our treatments can be adapted to meet individual needs for guests who have previously experienced or are currently undergoing treatment for cancer. Take time out and enjoy some much-needed pampering in the safe hands of our professional Spa Therapists who have completed TPOT (The Power of Touch) training.
14. Service Charges/Gratuities
Please note that a discretionary 5% gratuity for your therapist will be added to your bill. You have the option of removing this from your bill should you prefer.
15. Cancellation Policy
Please allow 72 hours’ notice of any cancellation or postponement of Treatments or Services booked during your stay. If your Treatment and/or Service is not cancelled within the specified cancellation period, we reserve the right to charge 100% cancellation fee to the credit card given at the time of booking.
